A Festival Fit for Every Woman

16 July 2025

At Cardiff Medicentre, we’re proud to support and celebrate those working in our building, especially when their work makes a real difference to people’s lives. One standout example is Everywoman Festival, who last month celebrated their 3rd year of operations with a powerful day of learning, connection and fun.

Everywoman Festival was founded by Julie Cornish in response to her frustration with how often women’s health concerns are dismissed or downplayed. The event is designed to educate, empower and support women and girls by tackling areas of healthcare that are too often stigmatised or misunderstood.

This year, hundreds of attendees gathered at the beautiful Insole Court in Cardiff on June 7th to take part in this vibrant and inclusive festival, ready to learn and help spread the word.

The day included an inspiring mix of speakers, workshop leaders and wellbeing practitioners. Amongst the wealth of information and topics that were explored, attendees had the opportunity to learn about areas such as:

  • Birth and parenthood
  • Menopause and perimenopause
  • Cancer survivorship
  • Reproductive and mental health

Alongside the talks and panel discussions, there were also a range of drop-in support groups, performances, and charity stands available.

The day also featured an eclectic programme of activities: from yoga and Pilates to belly dancing, weightlifting demos, book signings, and even a LUSH spa pop-up. With food, drink and freebies available too, the festival showcased a truly holistic approach to women’s health – blending education, community and self-care.

Attendees of the festival included some of our own Medicentre staff, who thought it was a great opportunity to learn something new, connect with others in the building, and get involved with tenant events.

Sammy, our centre supervisor explained:

“From chatting with attendees to participating in activities, it was a fun and engaging way for our staff to support and be part of what’s happening at Medicentre.”

And it’s not just attendees who took something valuable away. As Natalia, Everywoman Festival’s Events Coordinator, shared:

“I left the festival feeling confident and empowered in my health, it was so great to be in an environment with no stigma and embracing our health and wellbeing.”

The growing success of Everywoman Festival shows how community-driven innovation can lead to real change. The team is improving awareness and education around women’s health by creating a supportive, collaborative space. This feeling is embodied by Sales and Events Director of the company, Arwen:

“The most rewarding part of it for me is working with the most amazing events team and ladies, and meeting so many inspirational women in the field of women’s health.”

At Cardiff Medicentre, we support ambitious innovators across life sciences and healthcare, and Everywoman Festival is a fantastic example of how that innovation can take root and flourish in meaningful ways. We are proud to champion their work and can’t wait to see how the festival continues to grow.
